  • Guiding the Way in a New Legal Era

  • Aasma Khan has worked with some of the world’s most preeminent and influential business leaders, technology disrupters, and wildly successful entrepreneurs. In 2009 she became the first and only minority woman and non-Arab to reach the C-suite level amongst the 22 largest family groups in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. From high-net-worth private family offices, real estate developers, and construction firms, to multi-national oil and gas tech firms, investment bankers, global luxury startups, and more, Aasma has built a unique business in a very niche space and in doing so has reshaped the trajectory of how businesses can do business in a new legal era.

  • Following two dynamic decades of providing legal leadership as a strategic advisor and corporate counsel to some of the world’s top business leaders in the Middle East, Aasma returned to the United States and founded RAN Advisory PLLC, establishing a boutique advisory firm to provide general counsel services in a new legal era. Aasma's vision was based on the long-standing guiding principles that brought her much success: justice, wisdom, and ethics. Her overarching goal for RAN Advisory PLLC was to provide fair and equitable solutions for each client, while striving to break down deliverables into fixed-price options, allowing tailored engagements to meet each company's needs.

  • Throughout her career and now as the executive leader of RAN Advisory PLLC, clients have regarded Aasma for her unmatched and unwavering commitment to confidentially and have every trust in her skills, abilities, and devotion to each and every transaction. She has been lauded for her enduring counsel, wisdom, and legal expertise, as well as her ability to evaluate any situation – no matter how small or complex – and offer exceptionally sound solutions.

  • Aasma earned a Juris Doctor Certificate of International Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology; a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from University of Chicago; and holds a Certificate of International Law from Columbia Law School. She was admitted to the Bar in New York, and is recognized as a leading General Counsel as seen in the Middle East by Legal Era and awarded Top 100 General Counsel in the Middle East multiple times in the Legal 500's GC Powerlist.

  • Aasma currently resides in South Florida with her two children. When not advising clients, Aasma enjoys reading crime novels, martial arts, and experimenting with fusion cooking.
